Closet Chats Launch & private screening

Closet Chat, a Facebook web series! Is a must see for the everyday fashion enthusiast. I would also argue that it is probably the red table talk of fashion. Red table talk? Why the comparison you may ask? Because trio lady friends that founded the series discuss  broader real life relatable situation than just fashion. I will elaborate further later in the post

Founded by a trio of Boss women; Felicia Henderson “the philosopher”  Earlene Buggs “The Physician, Christina Murray “The Peacemaker different personalities but one common denominator FASHION. The fashion savvy ladies hosted a private, invite only exclusive launch and screening of their web series on April 7th! The event was held at a very luxurious mansion in the Royal oaks neighborhood in Houston Tx! The ambience screamed “This is High fashion” with a pink red carpet, balloons, beautiful cocktails (they looked so good that I felt a little guilty indulging in them”, cotton candy , pastries, flowers and a merchandise display guest could fill their goodie bags with unlimited amount of merch; well with as much as the bags could fill

The episode directed by celebrity producer Chill vibes ,  show cased the ladies discussing in a closet on an array of topics that included how to deal with fake friends, being supportive but at the same time keeping it real with that one friend that needs it ( we all have one) balance life as mothers  who are also entrepreneurs, and just overall women empowering each other!

Later was the Q and A that was moderated by Emmy award winning journalist Chancy Glover  where attendees asked questions as well as advice from the boss ladies.

Want some fashion spice with real life issues being discussed, I highly recommend catching these mega boss ladies on their Facebook web series (link below) I was inspired and the event awakened that inner hustle and knowing you can make a difference with whatever profession or passion you may have as long as it makes others realize I am no different and if  they can do it so can I.

Will You Marry Me Premier

Directed by wedding photographer Milton Lawrence Jr, the second season of the docu series Will You Marry Me premiered on July 1ft to  an invite only audience.

Held at the Buffalo Solider Museum, guest got to watch how different couples navigated dating, getting engaged, being married and most importantly staying married. What I found interesting was how inclusive the series was. They featured a newly engaged gay couple that were both Houston natives. The couple gave insight on the struggles they had to endure from family, society and their own individual personalities. But through it all and with the help of their sick dog, they managed to stay together and get engaged.

The other couple was from Dallas Texas. And I kind of related to them in some way. They both come with children from previous relationships and they gave a first hand look on how the blended family dynamic can be somehow challenging but at the same time be the defining aspect of a unification. In this case, his wife’s relationship with his daughter (from a previous marriage) being that defining moment that lead them to get married. It was truly a beautiful story. A few of us chocked up in tears.

The experience was definitely eye opening and made me so self aware of a lot of traits and things that are sabotaging and preventing the M word . But most importantly It gave me hope and encouragement ( I am calling it lol)

In all seriousness one thing all the couples advised and really every successful married couple; Marriage is hard work and you have to constantly work on it. Love and light to all the married couples and if you re single like me, there is hope but please be sure to check out Will You Marry Me for Inspiration. Thanks for reading. Till next time

will you marry me
